Precision That’s Changing Cancer Care With Radioligand Therapy

Radioligand Therapy (RLT) combines a cancer-seeking molecule with a therapeutic radioisotope to deliver radiation exactly where it’s needed. This means powerful treatment with minimal damage to healthy tissue.

How does RLT work?

Radioligand Therapy uses two powerful components working in harmony: A targeting ligand and a therapeutic radioisotope.

01. Targeting: The ‘key’ that knows where

This ensures that the therapeutic agent is delivered only to diseased tissues, not healthy ones.

The ligand is designed to seek and bind to receptors that are highly overexpressed in cancer cells.

02. Delivery: Radiation with millimetre accuracy

The ligand carries a radioisotope that emits
short-range therapeutic radiation.
Once attached to the cancer cell, it releases a highly concentrated, cell-killing dose, affecting only the immediate area.
Healthy tissues around it remain largely unaffected.

A dual-action treatment that combines molecular
precision with localised radiation, making it effective for
metastatic, widespread, or difficult-to-access cancers.

Know Your RLT

Radioligand Therapy uses two powerful components working in harmony: A targeting ligand and a therapeutic radioisotope.

01. PSMA Radioligand Therapy (Lu-177 / Ac225 / Tb161 – Pluvicto)

For metastatic prostate cancer showing PSMA uptake on PET.
Safe, effective, and known to improve overall survival and quality of life.

02. Neuroendocrine Tumor Therapies (177Lu / Ac225 / Tb161 Dotatate)

Targets somatostatin receptors in NETs and refractory meningiomas.
Highly specific and widely used for advanced and metastatic NETs.

03. FAPI Therapies (Lu-177 / Ac225 / Tb161)

Targets FAP-expressing cells in the tumor microenvironment.
Used for progressive or metastatic breast, ovary,
lung, head & neck, sarcoma, GI, and GU cancers.

04. Iodine Therapies (I-131)

For Graves’ Disease: Destroys overactive thyroid cells.
For Thyroid Cancer: Eliminates residual or metastatic
thyroid cancer cells post-surgery.

05. MIBG Therapy

For neuroblastoma, pheochromocytoma, and paraganglioma, delivering targeted radiation to sympathetic tissue tumors.

06. Y-90 Therapy

For primary and metastatic liver tumors, offering a localized and effective treatment option.

A dual-action treatment that combines molecular
precision with localised radiation, making it effective for
metastatic, widespread, or difficult-to-access cancers.

What is Lu-177 ?

A radioactive isotope that emits millimetre-range radiation, ensuring treatment stays focused on cancer cells with minimal impact beyond the tumor.
